The Man Behind the Music
Hello my name is Billy Hayes. I am a singer/songwriter that has been around music my whole life. When I was a kid, my dad was a musician, that played the circuit with artists like Mel Tillis, Roger Miller, and Johnny Cash. That sparked my interest in music and at twenty I taught myself to play guitar. My love for music was in song writing because I liked the idea of telling a story through music.
Over the years, I have had several songs published. As well as having two songs released on an independent label and one even received airplay in Canada. I also received honorable mention in Music Row Publication for one of my songs Man Of A Thousand Songs, which I wrote about my dad. For a few years, I joined a close friend to play live at local venue, where I sang some of my songs.
I hope you enjoy listening to my songs as I tell a story through music.
